Stay & Play Holiday Scheme
"Stay & Play"
Holiday play scheme for disabled children and their families
The Phoenix School Stay & Play scheme stimulates development through play, eucation and the arts, addressing disability through healthy activities.
Phoenix Stay & Play is dedicated to providing an exciting and varied programme of events that will benefit children of all ages and backgrounds.
We pride ourselves in providing
Supported Places - providing short breaks for children with disabilities in safe and stimulating environment where disabilities and behaviours are accepted and supported.
Sibling Support - the play scheme enables siblings to learn, inspire and grow with support from others in the same situation.
Parental Support - addressing loneliness, isolation and supporting parents to join in with play.
Our scheme is situated in the specially adapted Phoenix School in which children can enjoy a range of activities, in a safe secure and well equipped environment.
These sessions are available to parents, carers and families of children with special needs, so that they can experience our informal and friendly play sessions together.
"Stay & Play" sessions are also a great place for brothers and sisters of children with special needs to meet new people and perhaps make some new friends.
With the huge success in the service that we provide, our holiday play scheme is widely known across the local authority and is recommended by social workers and other professionals.
The sessions usually run Monday and Wednesday during the school holidays, unless a Monday falls on a bank holiday then we run Tuesday and Thursday, we are closed at Christmas.
Our current entry fee is:
Normal admission £5.00 for the first child, then £2.00 per child thereafter.
In addition to our entry fee we charge £5.00 a year membership fee, our membership runs from October to October.
